If you hold the required gifted certification on your teaching license and thrive in an itinerant position, your talents will directly impact students learning experiences.

What Were Looking For:

• Active teaching license with a gifted certification
• Experience working as a Special Education Teacher, with a focus on gifted and talented populations
• Familiarity with IEP systems and documentation
• Willingness to travel for itinerant assignments (mileage reimbursement available)
• Flexibility to adapt to varying caseloads and program needs
• Updated background check and fingerprint clearance, per school/district policy
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with educators and families

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction tailored to gifted and talented students
• Collaborate with school staff, parents, and support teams to develop and implement IEPs
• Serve as an advocate for exceptional learners within the general and special education environment
• Participate in IEP meetings, student evaluation processes, and school board reviews as needed
• Maintain all necessary records in compliance with district and state requirements
• Provide support across one middle and high school campus, leveraging resources for best student outcomes
