Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students as an onsite Special Education Teacher in a supportive K-5 environment. This contract role offers approximately 22.5 hours per week, focusing on students who need specialized instruction and behavioral support. Youll collaborate closely with other educational professionals to help students thrive academically and socially.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Bachelors degree in teaching or education from an accredited institution is required
- Valid Pennsylvania State Special Education Certification (K-8 or N-12)
- Experience working with elementary-aged students, particularly in a learning behavior specialist capacity, is a plus
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse learner needs
- Dedication to fostering an inclusive, positive classroom climate
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, individualized special education services to K-5 students with diverse learning and behavioral needs
- Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with parents, teachers, and support staff
- Track student progress and adjust instructional plans as needed
- Provide behavioral support strategies and positive interventions
- Maintain detailed and compliant documentation
- Communicate frequently with families and team members to support each childs success
