Desired Qualifications:
- Valid state teaching certification in Special Education or eligibility to obtain
- Bachelors degree in Special Education or related field (Masters preferred)
- Experience designing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and behavior management strategies
- Effective communication skills with students, families, and colleagues
- Compassion, patience, and adaptability in dynamic classroom settings
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, adapt, and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to students individual needs
- Manage a caseload of students, ensuring IEP compliance and documentation
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to foster classroom inclusion
- Track and communicate student progress toward academic and behavioral goals
- Engage in ongoing professional development and school meetings
- Provide a safe, nurturing, and structured classroom atmosphere
- Foster positive relationships with students and their families to maximize learning outcomes
