Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid state teaching certification in Special Education or eligibility to obtain
  • Bachelors degree in Special Education or related field (Masters preferred)
  • Experience designing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and behavior management strategies
  • Effective communication skills with students, families, and colleagues
  • Compassion, patience, and adaptability in dynamic classroom settings
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, adapt, and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to students individual needs
  • Manage a caseload of students, ensuring IEP compliance and documentation
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to foster classroom inclusion
  • Track and communicate student progress toward academic and behavioral goals
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and school meetings
  • Provide a safe, nurturing, and structured classroom atmosphere
  • Foster positive relationships with students and their families to maximize learning outcomes
