Key Qualifications:
- Valid state Special Education Teaching certification (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong knowledge of differentiated instruction and evidence-based interventions
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Passion for working with students with a range of disabilities and support needs
- Ability to build rapport with students, families, and staff
- Adaptability and resourcefulness in the classroom
Position Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction tailored to the individual needs of students with disabilities
- Develop, monitor, and update IEPs in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Utilize data-driven approaches to track student progress and adapt instruction
- Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusion and modify curriculum as needed
- Foster a positive, engaging, and inclusive classroom atmosphere
- Communicate regularly with parents/caregivers regarding student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and professional development as required
