This engaging contract opportunity offers you the chance to provide individualized instruction and support to elementary-aged students in grades K-3 in an inclusive, welcoming environment. Youll play an integral part in guiding a caseload of 10-12 students, tailoring your approach to foster both academic and personal growth.
In this full-time position, you will work Monday through Friday, investing 37.5 rewarding hours each week to developing meaningful relationships, collaborating with colleagues, and implementing evidence-based interventions. Youll be empowered to use your expertise to ensure every child receives the support they need to succeed and thrive in their early academic years.
Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts Special Education License, with Moderate Certification
- Experience supporting K-3rd grade students preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Commitment to inclusive educational practices and individualized student success
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) for a manageable caseload
- Adapt curriculum and instruction to meet students diverse needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student progress
- Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives to continuously enhance your teaching practices
- Maintain detailed, compliant records and documentation
