This contract opportunity offers an engaging role working onsite with resource classrooms, supporting students with diverse learning needs throughout the 20262027 academic year.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teaching certification, or eligibility for certification before the start date
- Experience with elementary and/or middle school special education, preferably in resource classroom settings
- Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Excellent classroom management techniques tailored to students with a variety of learning and behavioral needs
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, support staff, and families to ensure student success
- Commitment to inclusive practices and differentiated instruction
What Youll Do:
- Provide direct instruction and support to students within resource classrooms at both the elementary and middle school levels
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet student-specific goals and learning styles
- Work closely with general education teachers and related service providers to promote integration and access to the general curriculum
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress, challenges, and successes
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation and comply with all reporting requirements
