Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification in Nebraska or eligibility to obtain
- Proven experience working in resource classroom settings, especially at elementary or middle school levels
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and school staff
- Ability to foster an inclusive learning environment, adapting strategies to meet diverse needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction to small groups and individual students within elementary or middle school resource rooms
- Develop, review, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Track student progress and maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure integrated service delivery
- Engage with families to communicate student achievements and address concerns
- Create a supportive, positive classroom atmosphere that encourages student engagement and growth
