Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting elementary students as a Special Education Teacher for a full-time contract role running August through November 2026. This 12-week assignment is ideal for a dedicated professional skilled in special education, ready to make a meaningful difference in the lives of K-4th grade students.
As the sole Special Education Teacher on assignment, youll work closely with staff to create a supportive classroom environment, craft individualized education plans, and deliver instruction tailored to the unique needs of each student. Key Qualifications:
- Current special education teaching certification (or eligibility) for elementary grades
- Prior experience working in special education settings, preferably K-4th grade
- Ability to develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Strong collaboration skills for engaging with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide instruction and interventions to students with diverse learning needs in grades K-4
- Develop and maintain IEPs in compliance with district and state regulations
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate different learning styles and abilities
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to support student success
- Track student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
- Uphold a positive, inclusive classroom culture
This contract offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule (32-37.5 hours/week), allowing you to focus on your students and your growth as an educator.
