Seeking passionate educators for multiple Special Education teaching roles for the 2026-2027 school year on Hilton Head Island. These are contract positions working onsite at various schools, supporting students academic and social success. Whether your expertise lies in intensive needs, supplemental support, or hybrid models, your unique experience will be valued. Start your journey in August 2026 and help foster an inclusive learning environment through June 2027.
Openings are available at:
- Hilton Head Island Elementary (Intensive Support/Autism)
- Hilton Head Island School for the Creative Arts (Supplemental)
- Hilton Head Island Middle School (Supplemental, Hybrid Support model)
- Hilton Head Island High School (Supplemental)
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility for certification)
- Prior experience supporting students in Intensive Support/Autism or Supplemental/Hybrid models preferred
- Ability to develop and implement IEPs to meet student needs
- Strong collaboration skills with staff, administration, and families
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing specialized instruction and intervention plans for students with varying needs
- Maintaining detailed progress monitoring, documentation, and IEP compliance
- Collaborating with general educators and related service staff to support student integration
- Adapting curriculum and instructional strategies for diverse learner profiles
- Engaging in professional development and ongoing learning
