Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Bachelors degree or higher in Special Education or a related field.
- Valid state teaching certification in Special Education (or pending completion).
- Ability to collaborate effectively with related service providers and educational team members.
- Dedicated to adapting and modifying curriculum to align with student IEP goals.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for building relationships with students, families, and staff.
- Open to recent graduates excited to start their career in special education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct, individualized instruction based on each students IEP and documented needs.
- Work in partnership with speech, occupational therapy, and other service providers to review, develop, and update IEP goals.
- Assess students progress, maintain accurate documentation, and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student growth and strategies for success.
- Adjust instructional strategies and supports to best meet student needs and maximize learning outcomes.
