Key Qualifications:
- Current Delaware Special Education Teaching license required
- Experience working with elementary students, particularly those with autism, strongly preferred
- Ability to create and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Must be able to work full-time, Monday Friday, 8:25am to 3:55pm (37.5 hours per week, including a paid lunch)
- Willingness to complete CBC fingerprinting at own expense
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and differentiated support to students on the autism spectrum
- Develop IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and positive classroom climate
- Collect data and monitor student progress toward IEP goals
- Collaborate with families, support staff, and administration to optimize student outcomes
- Maintain accurate records and uphold all district and state compliance standards
