Job Description

Key Qualifications:

  • Current Delaware Special Education Teaching license required
  • Experience working with elementary students, particularly those with autism, strongly preferred
  • Ability to create and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Must be able to work full-time, Monday Friday, 8:25am to 3:55pm (37.5 hours per week, including a paid lunch)
  • Willingness to complete CBC fingerprinting at own expense

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction and differentiated support to students on the autism spectrum
  • Develop IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and positive classroom climate
  • Collect data and monitor student progress toward IEP goals
  • Collaborate with families, support staff, and administration to optimize student outcomes
  • Maintain accurate records and uphold all district and state compliance standards
