Job Description

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting early learners in a collaborative school setting near Bear, DE. This onsite position is ideal for passionate educators with experience in special education and early childhood instruction. As an Early Childhood Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational foundation of young students with diverse needs throughout the academic year.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Delaware teaching license required (must be attached with resume for consideration)
  • Special education teaching certification, early childhood certification, orideallyboth (dual licensure highly valued)
  • Prior experience working with early childhood and/or special education student populations
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management abilities
  • A commitment to equitable, inclusive learning environments

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized and group instruction to early childhood students with varying abilities
  • Develop and implement effective lesson plans tailored to students unique developmental and learning profiles
  • Foster a nurturing, engaging classroom environment that promotes growth and independence
  • Collaborate with general education staff, family members, and other professionals to support each students success
  • Monitor progress, maintain accurate documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
  • Utilize evidence-based strategies and differentiation to maximize student learning and engagement

Schedule & Details:

  • Contract runs from February 17, 2026, through June 11, 2026
  • Full-time, onsite position totaling 37.5 hours per week, including a daily paid 30-minute lunch
  • Serve a dedicated early childhood caseload, making a difference in students formative years
