Key Qualifications:
- Current Delaware Special Education Teacher license required
- Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP processes; training provided on district-specific systems
- Ability to work independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students unique needs
- Deliver differentiated instruction in a resourceful, student-centered classroom
- Collect data and maintain accurate records of student progress and services provided
- Collaborate with general education teachers, service providers, and families to promote student success
- Participate in professional development and required team meetings (paid time allotted)
- Adapt programming based on student data, best practices, and multidisciplinary input
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative school culture, supporting district initiatives
