Job Description

An opportunity is available for an experienced Special Education Teacher to deliver compassionate, individualized instruction to a small caseload of students. Preferred Qualifications:

  • Possess a current Texas Special Education Teaching License
  • Previous experience with functional/life skills programs is highly valued
  • Proven ability to adapt instruction and materials to meet students diverse needs
  • Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Commitment to inclusive education and the implementation of IEPs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of approximately 510 students, focusing on those with lower-incidence disabilities
  • Provide direct instruction in functional academics, communication, independence, and transition skills
  • Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each students goals and strengths
  • Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings and family engagement
  • Track and report on student progress, adapting strategies as needed
  • Foster a positive, respectful, and growth-oriented classroom environment
