Embark on an impactful contract opportunity guiding students growth as a Special Education Case Coordinator for the 2026-27 academic year. This in-person positioncentrally located near Barre, VToffers three openings to serve at the high school, middle school, or elementary level, collaborating closely within a supportive educational setting.
Essential Qualifications:
- Valid special education teaching certification as required by state guidelines
- Demonstrated expertise in developing, implementing, and monitoring IEPs
- Experience supporting students with diverse learning and behavioral needs
- Strong teamwork skills, with a commitment to collaborating in a co-teaching or dyad model (high school position only)
- Effective communication with families, colleagues, and multidisciplinary teams
- Proficient in documentation, progress monitoring, and compliance with state and federal regulations
- Availability for 100% on-site, in-person responsibilities throughout the contract term
Role Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and facilitate special education services for a targeted caseload at the high school (paired dyad model), elementary, or middle school level
- Develop, write, and manage Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), ensuring all legal requirements are met
- Serve as a resource and advocate for students and families
- Foster inclusive practices and support positive student outcomes
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and educational assistants to deliver high-quality support
- Monitor student progress, conduct assessments, and adjust interventions as necessary
- Participate in meetings, professional development, and campus-wide initiatives
