Job Description

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher working full-time from March to June 2026, located near the picturesque towns of Barre and Hyde Park, VT. In this important role, you will provide both push-in and pull-out services to a caseload of 13 students, giving each child the tailored support they need to succeed. Both Special Education and General Education licenses are accepted, paving the way for educators eager to expand their experience.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Special Education or General Education teaching license
  • Experience working with K-12 students with diverse learning needs
  • Strong knowledge of differentiated instruction, IEPs, and progress monitoring
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Adaptability and a collaborative mindset
  • Prior experience in a school-based setting preferred, but not required
  • Willingness to work on a full-time contract schedule, March to June 2026

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver targeted push-in and pull-out special education services to a caseload of 13 students
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers
  • Track student growth and document meaningful progress
  • Partner with families to reinforce student learning and school engagement
