Qualifications:
- Hold a current Maryland Special Education Teaching License
- Experience as a Special Education Teacher preferred
- Skilled in developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with families and staff
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction tailored to student needs
- Manage a high school caseload with various learning and behavioral needs
- Develop, implement, and track student progress on IEP goals
- Work closely with fellow educators, support staff, and parents to ensure comprehensive support
- Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and ongoing team collaboration
- Adapt teaching strategies to maximize student achievement and independence
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting as required
