This is a full-time role serving pre-kindergarten students across multiple sites, with the assignment tailored to your strengths and expertise. What youll bring:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility) for early childhood/PreK
- Previous experience working with young children with diverse learning needs
- Strong understanding of individualized instruction, IEP development, and progress monitoring
- Excellent collaboration skills to foster positive relationships with families and staff
- Compassion, creativity, and flexibility in adapting teaching strategies
What youll do:
- Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction for early childhood special education students
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs, collaborating with parents, service providers, and administrators
- Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports growth and learning
- Track student progress, adapting interventions and supports as needed
- Provide guidance and support to classroom aides and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers about student progress and classroom activities
