Take the next step in your career as a Dyslexia Interventionist with a contract opportunity supporting students in the Austin area. This position focuses on delivering targeted reading interventions and specialized instruction to students with dyslexia, helping them achieve academic success and confidence.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Must hold active Texas Teaching Certification
- Reading By Design Certification is required
- For bilingual candidates, specialized training in Esperanza and Reading By Design programs is essential
- Background in special education and experience with students diagnosed with dyslexia preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and small group dyslexia interventions using evidence-based programs, including Reading By Design
- Assess students reading abilities and track progress to inform instruction and adjustments
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, administrators, and families to develop effective learning plans
- Maintain accurate documentation on student progress and intervention strategies
- Participate in professional development and stay current on best practices for dyslexia education
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that meets the diverse needs of learners
Position Details:
- Full-time, 40 hours per week, 5 days per week
- Caseload may include a variety of ages and academic needs
