Job Description

This position focuses on delivering targeted reading interventions and specialized instruction to students with dyslexia, helping them achieve academic success and confidence.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Must hold active Texas Teaching Certification
  • Reading By Design Certification is required
  • For bilingual candidates, specialized training in Esperanza and Reading By Design programs is essential
  • Background in special education and experience with students diagnosed with dyslexia preferred
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized and small group dyslexia interventions using evidence-based programs, including Reading By Design
  • Assess students reading abilities and track progress to inform instruction and adjustments
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, administrators, and families to develop effective learning plans
  • Maintain accurate documentation on student progress and intervention strategies
  • Participate in professional development and stay current on best practices for dyslexia education
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that meets the diverse needs of learners

Position Details:

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week, 5 days per week
  • Caseload may include a variety of ages and academic needs
