Key Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field
- Valid special education teaching certification (or eligibility for certification)
- Understanding of IEP process, including goal development and progress monitoring
- Strong collaborative skills and willingness to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Openness to new graduates mentorship and support provided
Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored direct instruction to students, following their IEP goals
- Collaborate with other educators and service providers to review, develop, and adjust IEPs
- Monitor student progress and document outcomes
- Adapt teaching strategies and materials to meet diverse learning needs
- Engage in regular communication with families and participate in IEP meetings
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
