Step into an impactful full-time role as a Special Education Teacher for the upcoming school year! This is a contract opportunity conveniently located near Aurora, IL. Youll provide direct support to students with unique learning needs, joining a committed educational environment that values your expertise and dedication.
Take responsibility for a manageable caseload of no more than eight students. The specific grade level will be determined prior to placement, ensuring a suitable fit for your background. Key aspects of your day will include developing and delivering individualized lesson plans, effectively managing your classroom, and overseeing the full cycle of IEP implementation and documentation.
What were looking for:
- Valid Special Education (SPED) teaching license
- Previous experience in Special Education settings required
- Proven ability to manage instructional planning and differentiated teaching
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with team members, parents, and support staff
- Ability to create a positive, inclusive learning environment for all students
Primary responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual student needs
- Develop and update Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in compliance with requirements
- Manage classroom behavior with consistency and compassion
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed
- Maintain accurate records and timely documentation
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in staff meetings

Compensation for this position ranges from $25.00 to $65.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
