Job Description

This contract position offers the opportunity to work onsite with a dedicated school community located near Aurora, IL, and provides a consistent, full-time schedule of 35 hours per week.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Professional Educators License (PEL) for Illinois schools, issued through ISBE
  • Experience or strong interest in working with students on the Autism Spectrum
  • Ability to adapt and utilize a variety of instructional strategies to meet individual student needs
  • Strong communication skills with an emphasis on teamwork and parent collaboration
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction to elementary students (grades K-3) with Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Monitor student progress, adjust strategies as needed, and maintain ongoing documentation
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, therapists, and families
  • Participate in IEP meetings and share insights to support each students learning journey
