Job Description
Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and social, emotional, and behavioral needs. This contract opportunity offers a full-time schedule35 hours per weekserving early childhood and K-8th grade classrooms for the 2026-2027 school year.
You'll collaborate closely with students, families, and fellow educators to create a supportive environment and individualized plans for student success. Your expertise will help students reach their potential by addressing academic, behavioral, and social-emotional goals with compassion and innovation.
Qualifications:
- Professional Educators License (PEL) for Illinois schools issued by ISBE (Illinois State Board of Education)
- Knowledge and experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder and social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Experience developing and implementing IEPs tailored to diverse learning needs
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, respectful, and positive learning environment
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and support for students with varied abilities and needs
- Develop, monitor, and adjust Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to support student growth
- Implement evidence-based strategies and interventions
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports
- Foster a safe, structured classroom culture that encourages student engagement and growth

Compensation for this position ranges from $25.00 to $65.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
