Job Description

Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and social, emotional, and behavioral needs. This contract opportunity offers a full-time schedule35 hours per weekserving early childhood and K-8th grade classrooms for the 2026-2027 school year.

You'll collaborate closely with students, families, and fellow educators to create a supportive environment and individualized plans for student success. Your expertise will help students reach their potential by addressing academic, behavioral, and social-emotional goals with compassion and innovation.

Qualifications:

  • Professional Educators License (PEL) for Illinois schools issued by ISBE (Illinois State Board of Education)
  • Knowledge and experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder and social, emotional, and behavioral needs
  • Experience developing and implementing IEPs tailored to diverse learning needs
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive, respectful, and positive learning environment

Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction and support for students with varied abilities and needs
  • Develop, monitor, and adjust Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to support student growth
  • Implement evidence-based strategies and interventions
  • Maintain accurate records and progress reports
  • Foster a safe, structured classroom culture that encourages student engagement and growth

Compensation for this position ranges from $25.00 to $65.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
