This opportunity is for two full-time Special Education Teachers to support K-5 students in an elementary school setting near Elmwood Park, IL. The role involves teaching four co-teaching sections and one instructional section, focusing on students with diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with classroom teachers to provide co-teaching support across multiple sections.
• Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
• Deliver direct instruction and specialized support to students with disabilities.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
• Maintain compliance with state and district special education guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Possession of a current Illinois Professional Educator License is required; LBS1 certification preferred. Candidates with Type 73 School Psychologist or School Social Worker credentials are also considered.
• A minimum of three years successful experience teaching students with disabilities.
• Proven ability to develop and apply effective IEPs.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills within multidisciplinary teams.
