The district provides supervision for paraprofessionals and will offer initial training to ensure a smooth transition into your new role.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher licensure in Colorado
- Experience working with K-12 students in inclusive or resource settings
- Strong knowledge of IEP Development and implementation
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, support staff, and families
- Commitment to fostering a supportive and encouraging classroom climate
- Familiarity with compliance and documentation requirements in special education
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction and classroom management for K-12 special education students
- Develop, review, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, specialists, and families
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to district, state, and federal regulations
