Special Education teaching opportunities are available in the Denver area, focusing on Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) within K-12 settings. These full-time contract roles serve students from birth to age 8 in co-teaching classrooms, specifically at two elementary schools for the 2025-26 school year.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering specialized instruction aligned with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for early childhood students
- Collaborating with general education teachers and support staff in co-teaching models
- Implementing developmentally appropriate strategies to support diverse learners
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting teaching methods accordingly
- Communicating regularly with families and team members to support student growth
Qualifications and experience:
- Active Colorado Department of Education certification
- Early Childhood Special Education (0-8) endorsement required
- Experience ranges considered: from entry-level (0-2 years) to seasoned educators (10+ years)
- Familiarity with co-teaching models and early childhood curriculum preferred
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Location: Aurora, CO and Denver metropolitan area
This contract runs from ASAP through May 22, 2026, with full-time hours (35+ per week). These positions serve as vital support within the school district's early childhood special education programs. Compensation is competitive and varies with experience.
