Two distinct roles are available: a dedicated full-time classroom teacher and a float position providing essential support across various settings. Qualifications:
- Valid Maine Special Education Teacher License is required
- Experience working with preschool-aged children in special education preferred
- Adaptability and skill in tailoring instructional approaches for diverse learning needs
- Capability to communicate effectively with students, families, and school staff
- Strong organizational skills and an enthusiastic, team-oriented mindset
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored for preschool students
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers and related service providers
- Use evidence-based instructional strategies to foster growth and progress
- Monitor, track, and communicate student outcomes in accordance with compliance standards
- Engage in regular communication with families regarding student development
- For the float position: provide support across multiple classrooms and settings as needed
