Work Hours: 40 hours per week (onsite)
Job Description:
An exciting opportunity is available for Special Education Teachers supporting campuses in Georgia. This full-time role for the upcoming school year offers placement at a single school site per assignment, with a high volume of openings providing flexibility in location. The position will support students with diverse learning needs, with priority given to candidates who have experience working with autism and severe behaviors. This is a great opportunity for educators seeking placement options within a large, supportive district environment.
Qualifications:
- Active Georgia Special Education teaching certification
- Experience working with students with autism and severe behaviors strongly preferred
- Ability to support diverse student populations in a structured learning environment
- Strong classroom management and behavior intervention skills
- Ability to meet time-sensitive credentialing requirements, including background clearance and fingerprinting
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction to students with disabilities in accordance with IEPs
- Support students with autism and/or severe behavioral needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers and multidisciplinary teams
- Implement behavior intervention strategies and classroom management techniques
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed
- Maintain accurate and compliant documentation in alignment with state and district guidelines
