Job Description

Qualifications:

  • Current special education teaching certification required
  • Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)

  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Previous school-based experience preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction tailored to individual student needs, both in small groups and one-on-one settings
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to promote student success
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines
  • Conduct ongoing assessments and gather data to track progress and inform instructional decisions
  • Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress, goals, and strategies for support
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and professional development activities
  • Create a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student growth
  • Implement appropriate behavioral management techniques to enhance learning
