Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current state certification to teach Special Education
- Bachelors degree in Special Education or related field required
- Prior experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and accommodations
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff, families, and students
- Ability to utilize differentiated instructional strategies
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students learning profile
- Adapt curriculum and instructional materials to support learners with diverse needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and parents to foster student progress
- Monitor, document, and report on students development and achievement
- Create a supportive classroom environment encouraging participation and growth
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Participate in professional development to stay current on best practices in special education
