Job Description
A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available to support elementary students with high needs. This role requires experience working with diverse learners in a special education setting. The assignment is travel-based, located in Aspen, CO, and offers a W2 contract through the end of the current school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of elementary students
- Deliver specialized instruction and support to students with high needs in the classroom
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all relevant special education regulations
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience working with elementary students requiring intensive support
- Ability to manage a caseload of high needs students effectively
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Flexibility and adaptability to travel and work in different school environments
Location and Schedule:
- Position is based in Aspen, CO
- Full-time, travel assignment
- Contract extends through the end of the school year, starting ASAP
