Job Description

Make a meaningful impact as an Autism Specialist in beautiful Southern Oregon. This full-time, onsite contract opportunity supports K-12 students within a 35-mile radius of the Ashland area. Work alongside educational leaders and specialists to provide expertise for students on the Autism spectrum, ensuring individualized support across a variety of educational settings.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Special Education, Speech-Language Pathology, School Psychology, or Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • Valid Oregon TSPC licensure or Board Certification (for SLPs/BCBAs)
  • At least 3 years of experience supporting students on the Autism spectrum, spanning diverse age groups and severity levels
  • Proven track record conducting Autism assessments/evaluations, measuring impact and guiding programming
  • Expertise working with both high-functioning students in general education settings and those with more intensive needs in self-contained environments
  • Familiarity with public education systems and compliance requirements for special education

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Autism-specific consultation, coaching, direct services, and support for K-12 students
  • Collaborate with school teams to develop, implement, and monitor specialized interventions
  • Conduct comprehensive Autism assessments and participate in IEP meetings
  • Share findings, strategies, and training with staff and families to foster inclusive learning environments
  • Support ongoing data collection and progress monitoring to drive instructional decisions
