Desired Skills and Experience:
- Current teaching certification in Special Education (appropriate for the state)

- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and evaluation
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with colleagues, students, and families
- Demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction and utilize evidence-based interventions
- Creative problem-solving mindset and adaptability to new situations
- Comfortable with progress monitoring and maintaining documentation
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and review individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide direct instruction to students in a variety of academic and social-emotional areas
- Modify curriculum and teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learners
- Foster a positive, respectful, and structured classroom environment
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Track, document, and report student progress toward IEP goals
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development opportunities
