A full-time, onsite special education teaching opportunity is available at a high school in Asbury Park, NJ. This W-2 contract position is focused on working in a self-contained classroom within a school setting, providing travel experience as part of the role.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of each student
- Creating a structured and nurturing classroom environment that fosters academic, social, and emotional growth
- Applying evidence-based instructional strategies to support student development
- Collaborating closely with therapists, support staff, and parents to promote student success
- Conducting assessments, tracking progress, and adjusting instructional approaches accordingly
- Ensuring compliance with New Jersey state regulations and district policies
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in education or special education
- Active New Jersey TOH or TOSD teaching certification
- School-based experience is highly desirable
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
