Required Qualifications:
- Valid Colorado Special Education teaching license (CO SPED)
- Prior experience working with elementary and/or middle school students preferred
- Ability to adapt curriculum and instruction to meet a variety of learning styles and needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
- Commitment to professional development and individualized education planning
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support to K-8th grade students with diverse learning needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Use data to assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
- Communicate effectively with families regarding student goals, progress, and strategies for success
- Maintain accurate records and comply with state and federal special education requirements
