We are seeking an Early Childhood Special Education professional for a full-time contract role, covering a leave of absence from August 20 through October 30, 2026. This position is based fully onsite and offers the opportunity to work alongside a skilled team of paraprofessionals, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid CDE Early Childhood Special Educator (ECSE) license required
- Previous experience in early childhood special education settings, preferably with preschool-aged students
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Familiarity with case management and service provider responsibilities in special education
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the lead teacher for both morning and afternoon preschool sessions, with up to 18 children each
- Provide direct services and act as case manager for up to 10 students receiving ECSE support
- Collaborate closely with two dedicated paraprofessionals in the classroom to implement individualized education plans
- Coordinate with onsite occupational therapists and speech-language pathologists to integrate therapies into classroom activities
- Prepare and maintain thorough documentation, progress reports, and service records
- Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom atmosphere where every preschooler can thrive
This contract role follows a Monday through Friday schedule (8:30am4:00pm), aligning with morning (8:4511:45) and afternoon (12:453:45) class sessions.
