Job Description

Multiple full-time roles are available across elementary, middle, and high school settings, supporting students with a range of needsAffective Needs, Structured Learning Services, Significant Support Needs, and Learning Specialist positions.

Assignments include center-based programs at local elementary schools (K-2 Structured Learning, Affective Needs), a Learning Specialist role at a middle school, and a high school SSN teacher. Caseloads offer the chance to design individualized instructional strategies while collaborating with dedicated teams. Many settings feature robust para support, collaborative push-in services, and opportunities to build life skills with students who benefit from hands-on guidance.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • Valid Colorado Department of Education certification with a Special Education endorsement (required)
  • Experience working with a range of exceptional learners, including students with autism, emotional-behavioral challenges, or significant behavioral needs
  • Knowledge of Structured Learning Services or Affective Needs programming a plus
  • Familiarity or experience with AAC devices beneficial
  • Comfort with behavior management, including supporting students who may exhibit intense behaviors (e.g., hitting, eloping)
  • Ability to adapt, collaborate, and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver individualized instruction to students with diverse needs
  • Implement behavior intervention and life skills plans in classroom settings
  • Foster a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment
  • Collaborate with paras, specialist staff, and other educators
  • Maintain compliance with all documentation and IEP requirements
  • Utilize technology and supportive communication tools as appropriate
