Job Description

Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students by stepping into a Full-Time Special Education teaching position for the 2026-2027 academic year. This role is based onsite in a newly expanding classroom setting near Arvada, CO, serving a local school within the Denver area. The district is currently preparing for the new school year and seeking five skilled Special Education Teachers to support a range of student needs.

Youll be joining a dedicated educational team with an assignment that will be determined as direct placements are finalized across the district. The caseload and specific details are forthcoming, but all classrooms will provide opportunities to support diverse learners.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Education or Special Education
  • Active Colorado Department of Education (CO DOE) teaching certificate with the appropriate endorsements (as detailed below):
    • Early Childhood Special Ed, Special Education Generalist, Educationally Handicapped, Affective Needs, Autism, Cross Categorical, Functional Academics, Severe Needs/Life Skills, as relevant to student assignments
  • Prior experience supporting students with Autism within a school district setting
  • Ability to complete time-sensitive background check and district fingerprinting

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and adapt individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to promote student achievement
  • Manage classroom activities and ensure an inclusive environment for all learners
  • Partner with caregivers and support staff to deliver consistent, high-quality instruction
