Job Description

This opportunity is for an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher serving students in grades K-8 within the Denver area. The position is full-time, supporting inclusive co-teaching classrooms at two schools: Coronado Hills Elementary and Thunder Vista P-8. Both roles require an Early Childhood Special Education (0-8) endorsement and an active Colorado DOE teaching certification.

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering specialized instruction to early childhood special education students ages 0-8.
  • Collaborating with general education teachers in co-teaching environments to provide differentiated supports.
  • Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with best practices and compliance standards.
  • Monitoring student progress and adapting instructional methods to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Participating in team meetings and ongoing professional development.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Active Colorado Department of Education certification.
  • Early Childhood Special Education (0-8) endorsement.
  • Experience working with early childhood special education students, particularly in inclusive settings.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Details:

  • Location: Denver area, Colorado.
  • Position Type: Contract through the current school year, ending May 22, 2026.
  • Hours: Full-time (35+ hours per week).
  • Start Date: As soon as possible.
  • Student Age Group: Early childhood (0-8 years), K-8 grade span.
