A school district in Arvada, CO is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support middle school students with mild to moderate disabilities. This full-time contract position involves managing a caseload of students and delivering specialized instruction designed to meet individual learning needs within the middle school environment throughout the school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to middle school students with mild to moderate disabilities
- Provide differentiated instruction to support academic and social growth
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure student success
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student progress and compliance requirements
- Utilize assessment data to adjust teaching strategies and support services effectively
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and independence
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid state certification in Special Education
- Experience working with middle school-aged students
- Knowledge of mild to moderate disability interventions and instructional strategies
- Ability to manage a full caseload and coordinate services efficiently
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
