This full-time, contract position offers you the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in students lives while working with a close-knit caseload of eight or fewer. The specific grade level will be determined based on district needs, providing a unique chance to tailor your expertise to the classroom.
Your day will run from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, allowing for both work-life balance and the time necessary to deliver impactful instruction. Youll be responsible for designing and executing engaging lesson plans, managing classroom environments, and overseeing all aspects of IEP (Individualized Education Program) development and implementation. If you bring a valid SPED license and classroom experience, youll find this role both challenging and fulfilling.
Key Qualifications:
- Current and valid Special Education teaching license is required
- Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher
- Deep understanding of IEP writing, implementation, and tracking
- Strong classroom management and organization skills
- Ability to collaborate with other educators and support staff
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver personalized instruction and create inclusive lesson plans
- Champion a positive, well-managed classroom environment
- Administer, update, and report on IEPs to ensure continuous student growth
- Communicate progress with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Adapt strategies to best support a diverse caseload of K-12 learners
