Key Qualifications:
- Hold an active Minnesota PELSB Special Education Teaching License (Tier 1 or Tier 2 acceptable; preference for Tier 3 or Tier 4).
- Licensed in Emotional or Behavioral Disorders (EBD).
- Prior experience supporting students with emotional and behavioral needs is highly valued.
- Strong classroom management and differentiated instruction skills.
- Ability to foster positive learning environments and collaborate with support staff and families.
- Flexibility and adaptability as caseload numbers may fluctuate.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide daily specialized instruction to a group of elementary students (typically around 11, subject to enrollment changes).
- Develop and implement IEPs in alignment with state and federal requirements.
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, and related service providers to deliver holistic student support.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate progress with families and team members.
- Participate in school meetings and professional development opportunities.
- Create a safe, welcoming classroom where all students are empowered to achieve their best.
