Job Description

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Special Education Teacher in a district near Anoka, MN. Starting September 8, 2026 and running through June 10, 2027, youll play a vital role in fostering academic and personal growth within a collaborative school environment. The schedule offers 37.5 hours per week with structured support and resources.

Multiple full-time and part-time positions are available:

  • DAPE (Developmental Adapted Physical Education) at Fair Oaks Elementary (0.5 FTE; requires DAPE endorsement)
  • Center-Based Special Education Teacher at Birch Grove Elementary (1.0 FTE; ASD or DCD endorsement required)
  • Resource Special Education Teachers at Birch Grove Elementary (2.0 FTE; ABS, EBD, ASD, or DCD endorsements accepted)
  • Resource Special Education Teacher at Garden City Elementary (1.0 FTE; ABS, EBD, ASD, or DCD endorsements accepted)

To thrive in these roles, you will need:

  • At least 2 years of experience specifically as a Special Education Teacher
  • Active Tier 3 or Tier 4 MN Special Education License
  • Appropriate endorsements: ASD, DCD, EBD, ABS, or DAPE
  • A passion for cultivating inclusive learning environments tailored to each students needs

As a Special Education Teacher, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborating with general education staff, related service providers, and families
  • Monitoring student progress and adapting instruction as needed
  • Providing a supportive, structured classroom environment that promotes positive outcomes
  • Participating in IEP meetings and professional development activities
