This contract position offers a structured Monday through Friday schedule with 37.5 hours per week. The role primarily serves students in 2nd through 5th grade, with some potential to assist those in kindergarten through 5th grade as needs shift during the school year. Youll be working closely with a dedicated team of seven educational assistants, ensuring a strong staff-to-student ratio to deliver personalized instruction and support.
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education (SPED) Certification
- Experience supporting elementary-age children, ideally grades K-5
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet evolving student needs and IEP goals
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive classroom environment
Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of approximately 10 students with diverse learning needs
- Design and implement individualized and group lesson plans based on IEPs
- Monitor progress, assess student achievement, and adjust strategies as needed
- Provide guidance to educational assistants and ensure high-quality support
- Collaborate with families, related service providers, and school staff
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with state and federal guidelines
