Job Description

Make a meaningful difference as a Special Education Teacher working with middle school students with Emotional Behavior Disorders. This contract opportunity offers the chance to deliver impactful support and instruction in a dynamic educational setting.

You'll provide direct instruction and case management for a middle school caseload, collaborating with a committed student services team to foster an environment of inclusion and growth. This onsite position follows a consistent MondayFriday schedule with a commitment of 37.5 hours per week, starting March 9, 2026 and concluding June 5, 2026.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Minnesota Special Education Teacher Certification at Tier 3 or 4 (required for consideration)
  • Experience or strong interest in teaching middle school students with Emotional Behavior Disorders
  • Thorough understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
  • Commitment to supporting diverse learners and collaborating effectively with families and colleagues
  • Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills
  • Must be able to provide certification and resume at the time of application

Role Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver specialized instruction for middle school students with EBD
  • Develop, update, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate closely with related service providers, support staff, and families to ensure student success
  • Maintain documentation and compliance in accordance with state and federal laws
  • Foster a positive, safe, and respectful learning environment
  • Utilize effective behavior management strategies and interventions
