Job Description

Anoka, MN offers an opportunity for an experienced Special Education Teacher to work onsite with Setting 4 students in a K-12 school environment. This contract role runs from February 9, 2026, through June 5, 2026, at the Rivetrail Learning Center, Coon Rapids. This position requires dedication to supporting students with the highest behavioral and most severe disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction to Setting 4 students, addressing severe disabilities and behavioral challenges.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in accordance with district requirements.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student development and progress.
  • Maintain detailed records and documentation to monitor student growth.
  • Engage with families and caregivers to promote effective communication and involvement.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Minnesota teaching license with Tier 3 or 4 endorsement in Special Education.
  • Proven experience working with Setting 4 students or similar high-need populations.
  • Strong knowledge of behavioral intervention strategies and special education laws.
  • Ability to manage a caseload of students with diverse and complex needs.
  • Comfortable with daily commuting to the assigned location.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Work Schedule and Details:

  • Full-time contract position: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
  • Includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
  • Location: Rivetrail Learning Center, 12211 Crooked Lake Blvd NW, Coon Rapids, MN 55448.
  • Candidates must ensure they are comfortable with the environment and commute.
