Job Description
Provide specialized instruction and support to students with significant cognitive, developmental, and behavioral disabilities at an elementary school setting in Ann Arbor, MI. This full-time, onsite contract position focuses on delivering high-quality special education services to elementary and middle school students during the current school year (CSY).
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instructional programs that meet the diverse needs of students with significant disabilities
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and families to create and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all regulatory and district requirements
- Support students social, emotional, and behavioral development in a respectful and inclusive manner
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Michigan Special Education teaching license
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Successful completion of background check and drug screening
- Experience working with elementary and middle school populations preferred
