Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified School Psychologist for a unique, part-time opportunity within the Andover school system for the upcoming academic year. This role is ideal for a professional seeking a highly flexible schedule, with a commitment of only 7.5 to 15 hours per week. You will be supporting a K-8 student population, focusing on evaluations, consultations, and student mental health support.
Key Responsibilities
Assessments: Conduct psychological evaluations and interpret results for K-8 students to determine eligibility for special education services.
Consultation: Partner with teachers, administration, and parents to develop effective academic and behavioral intervention strategies.
IEP Participation: Contribute to the development of IEPs and attend multidisciplinary team meetings.
Student Support: Provide short-term counseling or crisis intervention as needed within the elementary and middle school settings.
Schedule Details
Commitment: 1 or 2 days per week (your choice).
Preferred Days: The district ideally prefers Tuesdays and/or Thursdays, but they are open to flexibility for the right candidate.
Interview Format: 100% Virtual.
Qualifications
Licensure: Must hold a valid New Hampshire State School Psychologist License.
Experience: Experience with K-8 populations is preferred.
Attributes: Strong clinical writing skills and the ability to work independently in a small-district environment.
