We are seeking a dedicated Full Time Early Childhood Special Education Teacher with expertise in working with children ages 3-5. This contract position offers a chance to provide targeted instruction and support in an inclusive, collaborative environment.
Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota Special Education Teacher license (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
- Previous experience teaching or supporting young children with special needs preferred
- Strong knowledge of early childhood development and best practices for individualized instruction
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to partner with families, specialists, and school staff
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that address a wide range of learning styles and needs
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, nurturing classroom culture
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and support tailored to children ages 3-5 with diverse learning needs
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with state guidelines
- Collaborate closely with other educators, therapists, and families to ensure students success
- Conduct assessments, track student progress, and maintain necessary documentation
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and family conferences
- Encourage student growth by creating a positive, safe learning environment
Additional Details:
- Immediate start date; assignment runs through June 10, 2027
- Consistent hours: MondayFriday, 8:00 am3:40 pm (37.5 hours weekly)
- Work is based at a dedicated early childhood center with experienced support staff
