This contract opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher, specializing in Emotional Behavior Disorders, serving kindergarten through fifth-grade students in a dynamic elementary setting near Andover, MN. Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minnesota Teaching Certification (Tier 3 or 4) in Special Education is mandatoryplease provide a copy when applying.
- Proven success supporting students with emotional and behavioral disorders, preferably in a center-based classroom.
- Experience in developing individualized education plans (IEPs) and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong organizational and communication skills to effectively partner with staff, students, and families.
- Commitment to building positive student relationships and classroom culture.
- Must be able to work onsite Monday through Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a center-based classroom for emotional behavior disorder students, supporting their academic and social-emotional development.
- Design and implement engaging lessons aligned with school-wide specialty programs in mathematics, science, and engineering.
- Prepare comprehensive IEPs, track progress, and adjust programs to meet evolving needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, school counselors, and families to promote student success.
- Utilize positive behavioral strategies and interventions to foster growth and independence in each learner.
- Maintain clear records, communication, and compliance with school and state special education guidelines.
