Support elementary learners as a Special Education Teacher in a full-time contract position focused on a center-based Emotional Behavioral Disorders (EBD) classroom for K2 students. Qualifications & Desired Experience
- Valid Minnesota Special Education Teaching License
- EBD licensure highly preferred
- Proven experience supporting students with significant behavioral needs
- Skilled in developing and implementing IEPs and BIPs
- Expertise in behavioral intervention, de-escalation techniques, and classroom consultation
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- K2 center-based special education classroom experience preferred
- Familiarity with PBIS, CPI, restorative practices, and trauma-informed methods a plus
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a high-support K2 EBD classroom for approximately 6 students
- Provide direct instruction and behavioral interventions tailored to each students needs
- Develop, update, and implement effective IEPs and BIPs
- Work collaboratively with support staff, related service providers, and families
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring
- Foster a safe and supportive classroom climate using evidence-based strategies
- Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings
